The Face Support System allows the patient to lay prone directly on their bed with their head supported off the end of the bed. This allows your head, shoulders and back to be aligned while getting air ventilation from under the facerest. This system slides between the mattress and it’s platform, usually a boxspring. It is installed at the foot of the bed or on the side of the bed if your bed is wide enough. It will accommodate a mattress up to 15” thick and is adjustable in height and tilt angle. This system will not work if the mattress sits down into a pocket where the frame has a vertical lip or a mattress that lays on the floor. (Use Sleep System) It is shown here being used with the Bed Armrest Shelf. This gives the patient the option to put their arms in front. No more worries about drifting out of position during sleep. |
